Our Terms of Service
Your Agreement with Us
Welcome to Cambridge Financial Grounding. We're glad you're here to get a grip on your money. These terms are like a straightforward agreement between you and us. When you use our website or sign up for any of our practical courses, you're saying you agree to these rules. It's important to read them carefully. We've tried to keep them easy to understand, no confusing legal jargon. If something isn't clear, just ask. Our goal is to help you build a solid financial future, and these terms help make sure we're all on the same page. If you don't agree with any part, then it's best not to use our services.
Your Account and Keeping It Safe
When you sign up for a course, you'll create an account with us. You need to give us accurate and complete information, like your real name and a working email address. Please keep your login details private and don't share them with anyone else. You're responsible for everything that happens under your account. If you think someone else has used your account, tell us straight away so we can sort it out. We do our best to protect your information, but looking after your password is your job. Think of it like keeping your wallet safe; it's a shared effort.
What Our Courses Are All About
Cambridge Financial Grounding offers practical courses designed to help you understand money psychology, manage debts, and find new ways to earn. We provide educational content, guidance, and tools to support your learning. Remember, we give general financial education and guidance. We aren't qualified financial advisors, and our courses are not a substitute for personalised financial advice, specific investment recommendations, or legal counsel. The success you get depends on how much effort you put in. We aim to give you the best information, but it's up to you to apply it to your own situation.
Paying for Courses and Refunds
Our courses have clear prices, usually a one-off payment, like our 'Your First Steps Course' at £299. You'll see the exact cost before you buy. All payments are processed securely through trusted third-party services. We don't store your full card details. If you change your mind, we offer a 30-Day Money Back Guarantee on certain courses. This means if you're not happy within 30 days of buying, let us know, and we can sort out a refund. After 30 days, refunds aren't generally available. Any refund requests should be made directly to [email protected].
How You Should Use Our Stuff
You can use our website and course materials for your own personal learning and to improve your financial situation. That's what they're for! Please don't copy, share, or sell our course content or materials to others without our permission. Don't try to hack our site or mess with its security. Be respectful in any online community or forum linked to our courses. No rude comments or spam, please. We want to keep Cambridge Financial Grounding a helpful and welcoming place for everyone genuinely looking to learn and get financially grounded.
Our Content Belongs to Us
Everything you see on the Cambridge Financial Grounding website, including all our course materials, videos, text, and logos, belongs to us or is licensed to us. It's our 'intellectual property'. This means you can use it to learn, but you can't take it and pretend it's yours, or distribute it to others. We've put a lot of work into creating these resources to help you, so we expect you to respect our ownership. Think of it like a book from a library – you can read it, but you can't publish it as your own.
We Don't Promise Riches Overnight
We really believe in our courses and the help they provide, but we can't guarantee specific financial outcomes. Everyone's situation is different, and results depend on your individual effort and circumstances. We provide tools and knowledge; you do the applying. We also can't promise our website will always be perfect or never have a glitch. While we aim for accuracy, sometimes things might have small errors. We do our best to keep things running smoothly, but remember, we're human too, just like you.
Our Limits of Responsibility
We're here to help you learn, but there are limits to our responsibility. We won't be held liable for any direct or indirect losses, damages, or issues you might face from using our courses or website, unless the law specifically says otherwise. This includes any financial decisions you make after taking our courses. Our advice is general education, not personal financial planning. Our total liability to you for any claim will never be more than the amount you paid us for the course or service in question. This is a common and fair way to manage expectations.
We Might Update These Terms
Sometimes we might need to change these terms, maybe to reflect new services or just to make things clearer. If we do, we'll post the updated terms on our website and change the "Effective Date" at the top. We'll try to give you a heads-up if there are big changes. By carrying on using our services after the changes, you're agreeing to the new terms. It's a good idea to check back here now and then, just to make sure you're always aware of the latest version.
The Law That Governs Our Agreement
These terms, and any disagreements that might crop up between you and Cambridge Financial Grounding, will be looked at under the laws of England and Wales. This means that if there's ever a legal issue, it will be handled by the courts here in the UK. We hope it never comes to that, but it's good to be clear about it upfront. Our main aim is always to resolve any problems directly and fairly with you, person-to-person.
